On March 21, 2021, volunteers found the body of a Chinese white dolphin in the waters of Xijiang River in Wuzhou City, Guangxi Province. It is called the Indo-Pacific humpback dolphin, a species of humpback dolphin inhabiting coastal waters of the eastern Indian and western Pacific Oceans. At birth, the dolphins are black. They change to grey, then pinkish with spots when young. Adults are grey, white, or pink. They come to the water surface to breathe for 20 to 30 seconds before diving deep again, for two to eight minutes.
